I'm seriously laughing my wits off. Haha! I was going through the e-mails I've sent to people over the past two years. One of the mails I've sent was to a certain company in Makati that posted an opening for writers. I didn't know what kind of writer they were looking for though. They asked me to write a short narration/story and put options under it to have the reader choose which of the sample sentences is the main idea. This was part of the application process. I sent them this:
My girlfriend Donna and I went downtown to grab a bite and to watch the latest flick. As we were about to get tickets from the booth, I suddenly noticed a scruffy-looking man staring at us. I said, “I think I know that guy. I must've seen him from somewhere before.” “Well, you can easily tell that he's homeless. People like him can be seen everywhere in the streets and they all look alike”, she replied. “I guess you're right, babe”, I muttered. Suddenly, the man came charging at us with a sharp knife and grabbed Donna by the hair. She let out shrieks of pain as she was being dragged outside. He lifted her up and placed her over his shoulder and ran towards a dark alley. I stood frozen for a while. I ran after them but it was too late. I never saw them again.
- A person who looks scruffy and has an odd behavior can be suspected as a criminal.
- Criminals are becoming more violent.
- Police officers should always have posts in crowded or less crowded places.
- Couples should stay away from strange-looking people.
- Men should always carry a gun with them to protect the women.
◘ Criminals are becoming more violent. (LOL to the grammar, the choices and this answer!)
I honestly can't believe I sent them this. Hahaha. It's like one of the tales from the crypt. Hahaha. You know what? I didn't get a response from them. This must've shooed them away. Haha. Seriously?
Hahaha!
